For years prior to the very poorly performed Women’s Health Initiative study, estrogen was widely used and welcomed and actually seen as an anti-aging bio-hack. Overnight, opinions changed. Unfortunately we have generations of physicians — ones that were told estrogen is dangerous (which it not true), and medical school curriculum that does not teach it. This leaves us with “professionals” who are extremely under-skilled and unprepared. The only message out there is that estrogen is dangerous — but that is so patently wrong and a very new idea.
