Are Hormones The Ultimate Bio-Hack? With Wise And Well Maria Claps & Kristin Johnson Pin

The problem with synthetic hormones is that they don’t work the way we need them to within our bodies, unlike the bioidenticals. It’s really important that women understand which hormones they are being put on. We have 3 different receptors in the body and only estradiol provides a balanced action.

For years prior to the very poorly performed Women’s Health Initiative study, estrogen was widely used and welcomed and actually seen as an anti-aging bio-hack. Overnight, opinions changed. Unfortunately we have generations of physicians — ones that were told estrogen is dangerous (which it not true), and medical school curriculum that does not teach it. This leaves us with “professionals” who are extremely under-skilled and unprepared. The only message out there is that estrogen is dangerous — but that is so patently wrong and a very new idea.

Estrogen is LITERALLY what regulates the female body — and the sooner in perimenopause you can start, the better.

Hormones the ultimate bio-hack for you to reach your health goals? Natalie Jill sits down with Maria Claps & Kristin Johnson to discuss how you can effectively use hormones to benefit your best life.

Maria, an FDN practitioner, and Kristin, an NTP Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition, are plain spoken friends and practitioners who share a passion for women’s health, especially women’s health at midlife. As both are themselves menopausal, they’ve refined the art and science of thriving as a midlife woman based on both clinical and personal experience. They combine individualized nutrition and lifestyle changes tailored to midlife women’s needs with mindset coaching, lab testing and hormone replacement therapy education to help women thrive so that they can stop or prevent their health from spinning out of control.

In this episode, you will learn:
