The Metabolic Guide to AVOID and REVERSE Disease in Midlife with Dr. Nasha Winters

I was gifted Dr. Nasha’s book, The Metabolic Approach to Cancer (which isn’t just for people who have cancer — it’s relevant for ALL of us) and I could NOT put it down. It was the best book, I read it like 5 times, and I have changed so much in my life as a result. I was SO excited that I could do a deeper dive on Midlife Conversations with her to share with you! Spoiler alert: she has a different view on hormones than what we may be used to hearing here! 🙂

Why Gut Health is LIKELY Our Problem with Dr. Vincent Pedre

Dr. Vincent Pedre has a GutSMART Quiz as a bonus to his new book The GutSMART Protocol you can take and if you test moderate or severe on the quiz, you more than likely have leaky gut. Listen, just 5 days of a standard antibiotic can take up to 12 months to repair! Inside the book also has actions and recommendations, etc. for what you should eat and do to help yourself depending on what your test score is.

Preventing and Reversing Type 2 Diabetes with Dr. Beverly Yates

Today we are talking about Type 2 Diabetes (and Type 2 specifically). If it’s not affecting YOU, it’s affecting your friends and/or family or someone you know. It’s a super common issue in midlife. The good news is, this type of diabetes can usually be reversed! I was introduced to dr. Beverly Yates from a mutual friend because I was having my own blood sugar challenges (this is a story for another time!) and the first thing that came to mind was — do I have type 2 diabetes? So we dove deep and I LOVED her so much that I knew I HAD to share her knowledge with you!

What to Change After Menopause with Your Workouts with Debra Atkinson

When we were 20 we really didn’t consider what happens later in life in this time and place we now call menopause…simply because nobody talked about it! I remember thinking that nothing would change during perimenopause and menopause as long as you “stuck to your plan”. Jokes on me! I totally believed that until I started working through it myself. And let me tell you…you don’t really know what it’s like until you’re walkin’ through it. BUT, the more we talk about it, the easier it becomes for all.  Menopause has absolutely nothing to do with how “fit” and “healthy” you are. It’s biology and it’s what happens.Â
